Cambridge United have been knocked out of the FA Cup after Championship high-flyers Leeds United produced a second-half comeback to book their place in the fourth round.

The U's deservedly took the lead just before the half hour mark as Uche Ikpeazu's clever turn and shot had them dreaming of an upset.

However, Leeds turned the game on its head after the break, with Stuart Dallas and Alex Mowatt sealing the victory.

Despite just coming up short, Cambridge were applauded off the pitch by the 7,973 sell-out crowd at the Cambs Glass Stadium and their performance is bound to give them confidence in their push for promotion from League Two.

Leeds will now go on to face the winner of the replay between AFC Wimbledon and non-league Sutton United on the weekend of January 28.

Meanwhile, Norwich City could be in line for an attractive home tie against Premier League giants Arsenal if they can get past Southampton in next week's replay, while Ipswich Town or Lincoln City have been paired wth Brighton and Hove Albion.
