We've been talking to ITV News Anglia's new weather presenter Aisling Creevey on her first week working with the team.
- My career so far
I'm actually from Ireland and I grew up in Leixlip which for those of you that don't know is the real home of Guinness (not Dublin as most people think).
However, I moved over to the UK eight years ago now and I love it here!
I started my career as a forecaster in 2009 with MeteoGroup UK, and joined the Met Office three years later to become a low flying aviation specialist. I then moved on to become a media specialist in in the BBC.
My main role there was briefing for regional, national and global weather, and I was then very lucky to be given the opportunity to work as a Broadcast Meteorologist.
In my previous life, I was a G.I.S (Geographic Information Systems) technician working on a pilot project to help improve flooding defences along the east coast of Ireland so weather and the environment has always been in my blood.
In terms of the boring academic stuff, I've got a Masters in Meteorology and a degree in Maths and Economics - plus I'm a a fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society and a qualified Meteorologist.
- How can YOU help me?
I am very much looking forward to getting to know all the viewers, whether you watch on TV or online.
I absolutely love everything about the weather, and thankfully these days there isn't much I don't know about it!
If there's something I don't know, I will find out - it's just how I am! So please, please share with me your questions, pictures and any thoughts you have - I'd love to interact with you.
I love hearing what people think about the weather, even when we get it wrong, which we will do from time to time.
Hopefully over time though I can impart more to you about what I know about the atmosphere and we can go on a journey of understanding the weather together!
