A girl is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a school ceiling collapsed in Milton Keynes.
It is not yet known the incident is related to high winds caused by Storm Doris.
Police officers were called to the incident at Southwood Middle School in Bryony Place, Conniburrow, at just after 3.30pm.
A section of the ceiling, approximately 8ft by 5ft, collapsed in the sports hall.
There were about 40 people in the hall when the ceiling caved in and the area was evacuated.
A second child was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
In a statement the school said the building had been declared safe by health & safety officers and would re-open as normal on Friday.
