Anglia Late Edition - April 2017

Anglia Late Edition is the regional politics programme for the East of England presented by political correspondent Emma Hutchinson.

Anglia Late Edition looks at the forthcoming snap General Election on 8 June as it will affect the East of England.

Before that, on 4 May, there are County Council elections in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire and Suffolk along with an election for a new Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

On Anglia Late Edition were Charles Clarke (Lab), Peter Aldous MP (Con), Sir Bob Russell (LD) and Margot Parker MEP (Ukip)

Emma Hutchinson was joined in the studio by four politicians from the Anglia region.

  • Charles Clarke is a former Home Secretary who was the Labour MP for Norwich South from 1997 until 2010.
  • Peter Aldous has been the Conservative MP for Waveney in Suffolk since 2015.
  • Sir Bob Russell was the Liberal Democrat MP for Colchester from 1997 until 2015.
  • Margot Parker is the Northamptonshire-based Member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands.
