Carys Hammond 18, from Bradfield died after she collided with a bridge on Brickman's Hill, just five minutes from her home.
It comes just months after Mark Cole, a driving instructor from Wrabness, had spoken to ITV Anglia about the dangers.
He said he had warned the council about the corner, but they had failed to do anything.
In a statement about Carys’s death, her family called her a vibrant, talented woman.
The Council say they will look into making the road safer, but won’t comment fully on the incident until the police investigation into the crash is finished.
