How Colchester Hospital is coping with no computers after global cyber attack

It's a weekend of chaos as hospitals across our region try to get back into their computer systems after the global hack.

Many staff have reverted to paper systems.

Serena Sandhu's report is below.

"There's no evidence that any patients came to any harm but we did have to cancel some routine patients as we didn't know how far the virus had got into the organisation and we did have to send some out patients home and some minor patients ,who could be seen elsewhere , left our A and E departments. So patients have had to wait longer, we not used to using paper systems."

– Nick Hulme, Chief Executive, Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals
