Northampton Saints back row Louis Picamoles will rejoin French side Montpellier in the summer, according to the club's owner Mohed Altrad.
Altrad made the revelation on French television station France 3 in which he claimed that the 31-year-old will move back to his homeland following France's summer tour of South Africa.
Picamoles has been in inspired form for the Saints this season and has been nominated for the Aviva Premiership Player of the Year.
He previously spent five seasons at Montpellier earlier in his career, and Altrad suggested that a deal has already been agreed for him to return.
"We have signed what we call a pre-contract so Louis Picamoles should join us after France's summer tour," he said.
"It's important for the national team to see France players play in the Top 14."
The Saints are yet to comment on the latest speculation, but Director of Rugby Jim Mallinder recently stated that Picamoles wouldn't be allowed to leave.
"Louis Picamoles signed a three-year contract, he has just done the first year and he has no get-out clause so there is no reason why Louis would be anywhere else," Mallinder said.
"I don't think Northampton have ever been a selling club... I am sure that is the way we will be. We want to keep all our good players."
