Peterborough United have signed Luton Town striker Jack Marriott for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old finished as the Hatters' top scorer in 2015/16 with 16 goals, but had to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench for much of last season following the capture of Danny Hylton.
Former Ipswich Town trainee Marriott has agreed a four-year deal at the ABAX Stadium and Posh beat off competition from The Championship to secure his signature.
Meanwhile, chairman Darragh MacAnthony has revealed the club have rejected a double bid from League One rivals Bristol Rovers for strikers Tom Nichols and Luke James.
22-year-old James spent last season on loan at the Memorial Stadium, but failed to score, while Nichols used to play in the West Country for Exeter City.
MacAnthony also confirmed on Twitter that Posh are talking to an SPL club about the possible sale of Shaquile Coulthirst who's currently on the transfer list.
In other news, new signing Ricky Miller will miss the first six games of next season through suspension.
