The family of an elderly dog walker who was stabbed to death in Norfolk woodland have described him as ‘mild-mannered and gentle’.
83-year-old Peter Wrighton from Banham was found dead near East Harling two weeks ago today.
He'd been repeatedly stabbed in the head and neck.
Alexander Palmer, 23, of Cringleford has since been charged with his murder and is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 12 September.
Mr Wrighton's family also thanked Norfolk Police for their efforts, as well as members of the public who have sent cards and flowers.
