83-year-old Peter Wrighton from Banham was found dead near East Harling two weeks ago today.

He'd been repeatedly stabbed in the head and neck.

Mr Wrighton's family also thanked Norfolk Police for their efforts, as well as members of the public who have sent cards and flowers.

My dad was the sweetest, most mild-mannered, gentle old boy you could wish to meet.

To have him taken from us in such a way is, at the moment, too much for us to comprehend.

– Peter Wrighton's son
