New multi-million pound grain store opens in King's Lynn port

A new state-of-the-art storage warehouse at the port of King's Lynn is predicted to bring in more export business for the region

The new warehouse will store grain and agri-bulks, enabling the different cargo areas to be re-organised and is part of a £3.3 million investment from Associated British Ports, who also run Ipswich and Lowestoft ports.

"This will revolutionise bulk handling and the vast majority of bulk will go for export which helps restore the balance of trade. And it's a really significant day for King's Lynn because the docks here were on the decline, they're now absolutely part of Britain's export drive. It's really good for the town, for employment and, indeed, for the whole region"
