Thomas Cook pilots are today on strike which has meant some Stansted Airport flights have been rescheduled.

The pilots union BALPA has decided to call a strike from 00.01 to 23.59 today as part of a dispute over pay and conditions.

It's the first time that pilots from the company have staged a walkout since 1974.

The action comes just days after Ryanair started cancelling over 50 flights a day which caused chaos across airports.

Some flights have been rescheduled as a result, but Thomas Cook have promised to keep disruption to a minimum.

Our priority is to make sure all of our customers can still fly on holiday and back home with us and we are pleased to confirm that all of our flights on the 23rd September will operate.

In order to make sure that everyone can still travel with us during the strike period, we have made changes to the departure times of some of our flights on the 23rd September. We have tried to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise if these changes affect your plans or cause you inconvenience.
