Conservation work to make repairs to the South Nave Aisle roof at Ely Cathedral are underway.
The work which focuses on essential repairs is taking place above the Stained Glass Museum and will be finished in Spring 2018.
Grant funding from the First World War Centenary Cathedral Repairs Fund will help pay for the project, with extra funding from the Headley Trust.
The project will include:
- Partial re-leading an repair to the quarry-glazed South Nave windows
- Cleaning and re-pointing high-level masonry to the South Nave elevation
- Replacement of rainwater goods on the leaking South Nave Aisle roof
