A man who sexually assaulted a young girl while she slept has been jailed for 18 months.
43-year-old Raymond Daly was found guilty of sexually assaulting the girl, who was aged under 13, at a house in Cambridge in the early part of last year.
He denied the offence, but has now been sent to prison and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
The crime didn't come to light until September 2016 when the girl had a conversation with her mum about inappropriate touching.
Daly, who's from Lakenheath, has also been made the subject of an order that will prevent him from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 for the next decade.
“I would like to praise the young victim for her bravery in coming forward," DC Sam Constable said.
"The sentence given shows how seriously the courts take this type of offence against vulnerable victims."
