Luton Town and Colchester United dominate League Two nominations

Luton Town manager Nathan Jones has been nominated alongside Colchester United boss John McGreal for the Sky Bet League Two monthly awards.

Both clubs enjoyed productive Octobers, with both picking up 10 points from their five league games.

Luton's run included a 7-1 demolition of local rivals Stevenage, while Colchester beat the likes of Mansfield Town and Newport County.

The winner will be announced on Friday and Port Vale's Neil Aspin and Forest Green Rovers boss Mark Cooper are also in contention.

Both clubs have been represented in the player category too, with Luton midfielder Luke Berry and Colchester striker Mikael Mandron making the shortlist.

Berry's highlight was a perfect hat-trick against Stevenage, while Mandron hit four goals in the month.

Port Vale striker Tom Pope and Lincoln City full-back Neal Eardley are the other players to be recognised.
