Ipswich Town midfielder Teddy Bishop has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured hamstring.
The 21-year-old picked up the injury in the Boxing Day draw against QPR and will need to undergo surgery.
Bishop was making his first start of the campaign having only just recovered from a hernia operation.
He joins a growing midfield injury list at Portman Road, with Emyr Huws, Tom Adeyemi, Cole Skuse, Flynn Downes, Tristan Nydam, Luke Hyam and Andre Dozzell all currently on the sidelines.
“Bish needs surgery which is devastating for all of us,” manager Mick McCarthy said.
"He’s a great lad and the lads all love him but of course, the one that is suffering the most at the moment is Bish himself.
“It will be another challenge for him, both physically and mentally but he will get great support from everyone at the club and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
