The Duchess of Cambridge has written a letter to East Anglia Children’s Hospices marking the start of building work on their new Norfolk hospice.
In it she praised staff and supporters for their ‘dedication, generosity and achievements’.The new hospice, ‘The Nook’, is being built in Framingham Earl, Norfolk to replace a site currently in Quidenham. The Duchess is the charity's Royal Patron.
It is being purpose built with more areas for clinical care, a hydrotherapy pool, a state-of-the-art sensory room, larger and better equipped en-suite bedrooms, and dedicated therapy rooms.
The charity supports families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
