Southend United's League One clash at Rochdale has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The decision to call the game off was made less than three hours before kick-off, with referee Eddie Ilderton deeming that the pitch was unplayable.
There has been persistent rain and sleet throughout the morning in the area.
No date for the rearranged fixture has been set yet.
Southend, who are looking for a new manager after placing Phil Brown on gardening leave, have apologised to any away fans who made the long trip to Spotland.
"We can only apologise to the fans who made the journey after setting off in the early hours of the morning," a club spokesperson said.
"We will update fans regarding the re-arrangement when the decision is taken."
