Police are urging people in Stowmarket to be vigilant while out at night after a 19-year-old woman was raped in the town over the weekend.
The woman told officers she was attacked at around 2am on Sunday 1 April near the Recreation Ground.
A 26-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of rape on Sunday evening and has since been released under investigation.
The woman is being supported by specialist trained officers.
Members of the public have been advised to take extra precautions such as planning their journey home and avoid going off alone.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of the Recreation Ground between 1.30am and 2.30am on the morning of the incident to get in touch with them.
