Waryam Hussain: Police return to scene of fatal stabbing in Luton

Police officers have returned to the scene of a fatal stabbing in Luton one week on to make a fresh appeal for information.

Waryam Hussain, who was 20, was killed in broad daylight outside a convenience store in Bishopscote Road last Sunday (6 May) at around 4.40pm.

A team of officers have spent the day speaking to residents to try and piece together what happened.

No one has been arrested yet over Mr Hussain's death.

A CCTV image of a man police want to speak to over the death has been released.

In a statement, Mr Hussain's family said he was "one of the nicest people to be around" and a "well-liked member of the community".

Flowers and tributes have been left outside the McColl's store where the attack happened.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage, to get in touch.

The've thanked the community for their help so far with the investigation.

The investigation is progressing well, however, we are still appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who was in the area before or after, to get in touch to help us establish what led to this terrible event.

We are still gathering evidence and have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are following up a number of lines of enquiry.

We will never tolerate knife crime, and we are doing all we can to investigate what happened.
