Poundworld staff who have lost their jobs following the chain's collapse, are being offered a chance to join the retail team at Ipswich Town.
Town's Director of Retail Operations Lee Hyde tweeted that any Poundworld staff local to Ipswich will be given a guaranteed interview.
In the tweet, he said that the company's demise had left him wondering "what can I do to help?", and promised that he would give ex-Poundworld employees an opportunity to impress.
He also confirmed that the club currently have "several vacancies" for sales assistants.
Around 5,100 jobs nationwide have been put at risk after the company fell into administration.
Poundworld had been in talks with a potential buyer earlier this month, but negotiations collapsed.
The chain continues to trade normally as things stand, with all its 355 stores still open.
