Three swimmers had to be rescued after getting into trouble at Sea Palling in Norfolk.
Lifeguards rescued them from a rip current. A teenager was given resuscitation, a man was suffering from chest pains and a child had swallowed sea water. The coastguard said one was taken to hospital but all three are expected to make a full recovery.
Coastguards are urging people to swim on lifeguarded beaches and be aware of tides when visiting the coast.
They say in an emergency call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
