Great Yarmouth scooter thieves offered second chance by the man they stole from

Two teenagers from Great Yarmouth have been given a second chance after the man they stole from offered them an opportunity to reform their lives.

When businessman Leon Docwra found that his daughter's scooter had been stolen, he took to Facebook to try and find out who had took it.

It didn't take long to find the two 17-year-olds who were responsible.

After Mr Docwra had tracked down the culprits, instead of reporting them to the police he organised for them to meet down a local park and take part in a boxing circuit.

The idea was to give the boys a chance to redeem themselves after the mistake they made, and Mr Docwra didn't want them to receive a criminal record and restrict future opportunities.

Now, both teens are attending boxing classes twice a week at a gym in Cobholm, Great Yarmouth, and are being instructed by professional coach, Ben Poole.

Both of the teenagers and their mothers are grateful for the second chance they have been given, and realise it could have ended very differently.

I haven't been an angel all my life!

Hopefully they can now have a boxing belt around their waists, rather than handcuffs on their wrists.
