A married couple who died in a suspected murder-suicide in Ipswich have been formally identified.
Police were called to Siloam Place in the town on Monday 6 August after being told that a man had apparently fallen from a flat.
When they arrived, they also discovered the body of a woman inside the flat that he had fallen from.
The woman has now been identified as Katherine (Katie) Kemp, aged 31, and the man has been named as Thomas (Tom) Kemp, aged 32. Police have confirmed they were married and lived at the same flat.
Following a post-mortem examination, it's been revealed that both died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Katherine's death is being treated as murder, while Thomas' death is not being treated as suspicious. Detectives don't believe that anyone else was involved.
Although it's not believed that there is a wider threat to the public, increased police patrols will continue to take place in the area to offer reassurance to residents.
