A heavily pregnant woman who's been living in Essex with her husband for the past 3 years has been told she must return to China after her third visa application was rejected.
Grace Smith and her husband Dean from Manningtree in Essex say they've been left distraught by the decision made by the Home office and they live in fear of a knock at the door, to remove Grace from her home.
The couple got married 7 years ago after meeting in China and moved back to Dean's home-town in Essx in 2015.
Grace's spouse visa expired in February. Since then 3 applications for leave to remain have been rejected.
Dean recently set up his business working as a personal trainer. Up until Grace had her right to work withdrawn, she was employed by Marks and Spencer.
The Home Office told us their visa bids were turned down because the couple failed to meet financial requirements and that Grace or Dean were unlikely to face insurmountable obstacles if she was sent back to China.
The Home Office says it is now considering whether to grant a period of leave, given the circumstances of the case but the couple aren't getting their hopes up.
