The latest political fall-out from the local elections was played out in the East on Tuesday 8th May as all three party leaders made an appearance in Essex.

David Cameron and Nick Clegg joined forces at a tractor factory in Basildon to declare their determination to carry on with the Coalition's plan despite heavy losses in the polls last week.

The Labour leader Ed Miliband was in Harlow celebrating his party's gains, although he warned that all politicians needed to do more to engage with voters.
