Heavy rain overnight has caused flooding in many parts of the Anglia region.

Flood warning for Colchester
A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for Riverside properties in Colchester, including the cricket ground.
Properties are at risk in Riverside Walk around North Bridge and Causton Road. Lower Castle Park and the Cricket ground are also at risk.
New flood warnings issued
Flood Warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency in the following places:
- Riverside properties in Chelmsford, including the cricket ground
- River Chelmer from the A138 at Chelmsford to Maldon
- River Gipping at Ipswich, upstream of London Road Bridge
Flood warning in Cambridgeshire
A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Shelfords and Hauxton.
Flooding is expected for Great Shelford including Kings Mill Lane, Little Shelford including Hauxton Road, Moor Close and Newton Road, Hauxton including Church Road and Riddy Close.

A snapshot of one village affected by flooding
Flooding latest
Some villages in Suffolk and Essex were left virtually cut off and roads impassable after more than an inch of rain fell overnight causing rivers to burst their banks.
Emergency services were at full stretch as they answered hundreds of calls for help - many from stranded motorists.

A bus had to be rescued this morning after it became stranded in flood water in Suffolk.
