A light aircraft has crashed into a field at Ashwell near Baldock in Hertfordshire. It happened at about 6 o'clock in the evening on Friday 18th May.

A man is in hospital in a critical condition after the plane he was flying crash-landed in a field near Royston in Hertfordshire.

A light aircraft has crashed into a field at Ashwell near Baldock. It happened on Friday 18th May when the single seater plane came down near Newnham Way.
The pilot was taken to hospital but was not trapped in the wreckage. Two fire appliances were called to the scene together with the air ambulance.
