Ken Brown paid tribute to friend and former playing partner John Bond today.
Mr Brown, who succeeded Bond as Norwich boss, said he thought of his ex-West Ham colleague as a brother.
Norwich City have paid tribute to their former manager John Bond who has died aged 79.
The club tweeted:
Norwich City FC is saddened to learn of the death of former manager John Bond, our sincere condolences go to all John's friends and family
Bond took the helm at Norwich from Ron Saunders and led the Carrow club for seven years. Bond later took charge of Manchester City, Burnley and Shrewsbury.
More recently he held a scouting role at Premier League Wigan Athletic.
Bond led Norwich to the 1975 League Cup final which they lost 1-0 to Aston Villa.
