On the 4th October 2012, the British Horseracing Authority announced that they were charging me and others with breaches of the rules of horseracing. The charges are due to be heard at a two week inquiry, which commences on the 14th January 2013.
Ipswich Town striker Michael Chopra says he is likely to face a ban from racecourses and gambling establishments, but says the ban would help him to fight his gambling addiction.
The Town striker published his statement on the Ipswich Town website.
In it he says that he will not contest the charges as he cannot afford the legal fees which are estimated to be at least £50,000.
The striker says he has extensive loans and cannot afford the money needed to clear his name.
