Norfolk County Council has informed the Health and Safety Executive and an investigation is underway.
Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the pupil's death on behalf of the coroner

The pupil from Taverham High School, who has not yet been named, fell off a pommel horse and landed on her head.
She was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge but died yesterday afternoon. Staff and students are now being offered counselling. A Health and Safety Investigation is underway.
