Now, as the Duchess of Cambridge, she's celebrating her wedding anniversary by highlighting the work carried out, helping children with incurable diseases.

She's patron of East Anglian children's hospices and in her first television broadcast, has urged people to help with fund raising.

The Duchess of Cambridge has delivered her first ever video message - it's an appeal to support the work of children's hospices.

The Duchess is patron of East Anglia Children's Hospices and the video features pictures of her at its centre in Ipswich. Her message has been released to coincide with Children's Hospice Week. Watch Matthew Hudson's report:
