Knights of Old tribute to former chairman after couple found dead

Knights of Old Group have paid tribute to its former chairman Donald Knight, who was found dead in his home in Loddington, Northants, alongside his wife Margret yesterday.

"In relation to the sudden and tragic deaths of Donald and Margaret Knight, we would like to pay tribute to the family name to which we continue to trade under today.

"Mr Knight was the third-generation of his family to head Knights of Old and held the position of chairman up until a MBO when he retired 15 years ago.

"A few of us had the privilege of knowing and working with Donald and Margaret and they will be sadly missed in the community.

"Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with the family at this very sad time."

Elderly couple died from gunshot wound to the head

Following the deaths of Donald and Margaret Knight on Wednesday 1 May, a forensic post mortem examination took place last night at Leicester Royal Infirmary. The cause of death in both instances has been confirmed as a gunshot wound to the head.

“I know that this tragic incident has shocked people in the local community and would like to offer reassurance that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with it. My thoughts and condolences are with the family at this difficult time.”

Elderly couple found dead

The bodies of an elderly couple have been found at a house in Loddington in Northamptonshire. The man and woman were found yesterday afternoon.

Poilice say they are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with these deaths. A post mortem will be held later today to establish how they died.
