Just hours after the horrific murder of a soldier in London, a man has been arrested in Essex for an attack on an Islamic prayer centre.
Police had issued a warning against reprisals, after Drummer Lee Rigby was attacked by two men with knives in Woolwich.
Muslim leaders have condemned their actions, but last night a 43-year-old man was arrested in Braintree, on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon and attempted arson.
No one was injured but Essex police are investigating whether this was a revenge attack.
