Having played a starring role in Shakespeare in Love, Holkham beach on the north Norfolk coast is now known around the world for its miles of beautiful white sand.
But long before the Hollywood film, the beach has been a popular holiday destination with people coming back year after year.
Among them, members of the Household Cavalry, who return every summer for a bit of horsing around and a swim in the sea.

Soldiers and horses of the Household Cavalry have been exercising on the beach at Holkham in north Norfolk.
For 11 months of the year they're based in London with a full calendar of ceremonial duties but they have an annual training visit to the Thetford Battle Training area.
Captain John Rawdon-Mogg says Holkham is a perfect place to go riding with wide flat sand and a calm sea.

The soldiers and horses of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment have returned to Norfolk for their annual training camp.
