Gorilla statue removed after objection from trust

A series of gorilla statues have appeared over Norwich this summer decorated by a number of artists. Now one of them has had to be removed, in a row over image rights.

The Freddie Mercury Phoenix Trust took umbrage with a gorilla designed to look like the Queen frontman and asked for it to be removed from its plinth outside the Forum. Here's Kate Prout's report.

A gorilla statue in Norwich that depicts the singer, Freddie Mercury has had to be taken down following a complaint. It's one of 53 gorillas dotted around the city, all of which have been painted by artists and local schoolchildren.

The Mercury Phoenix trust objected to the statue saying it misrepresented the late singer's image
