A man accused of murdering an entire family has appeared at Northampton Crown Court. Anxiang Du is said to have stabbed to death all four members of the Ding family at their home in Wootton, near Northampton, back in 2011. Matthew Hudson has been in court.
A fifty four year old businessman accused of killing a family of four in Northampton on the royal wedding day two years ago appeared before the town's Crown Court today.
Anxiang Du is accused of stabbing to death Jifeng ‘Jeff’ Ding, his wife Helen Chui, and their two daughters, Xing, aged 18, and Alice, aged 12, at their home in Wootton on April 29, 2011.
Du sat in the dock flanked by five court officers and spoke only to confirm his name.The court heard no pleas could be entered as tests are still being carried out on Du. The case was put back until October with a trial date set for November.
