Damning report into how Norfolk County Council runs its schools

Ofsted has branded the council's efforts to support and challenge weaker schools as "ineffective".

It follows a recent five day inspection in the county. Ofsted claims there was a "legacy of under achievement", because the council had been too slow to intervene.

The Chief Inspector even went onto say the complacency had "denied tens of thousands of children the chance of a decent education".
