All week we have been meeting the contenders for our ITV Anglia Local Hero award.

The four in question have been remarkable people, who do extra special things in their community.

The winner will go on to represent the region at this year's Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards next month. Russell Hookey has been to meet the successful winner.......

ITV News Anglia's Local Hero winner will be revealed today

The winner of ITV News Anglia's Local Hero award will be revealed later today.

Over the last four days, we've been telling you the remarkable stories behind this year's four nominees.

The winner will go on to represent this region at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards in London next month.

The finalists were:

Robert Breakwell who has spent 25 years raising money for terminally-ill children in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Laurence Kidd, from Bramford in Suffolk, whose personal tragedy spurred him on to save the lives of others.

Lollipop lady Freda McMenamin who has been greeting children at Fen Ditton in Cambridgeshire since 1979.

And Karen Stock, from Shoeburyness in Essex, who started her high school's extended schools team eight years ago, runs a jobs club, debating group, and helps out at the local food bank.

With less than a month to go until the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, ITV News Anglia is revealing your finalists for the Local Hero Award.

This week we'll be showing you the remarkable stories of the four nominees.

One winner will go on to represent the region at the national award ceremony and hopefully be named the overall winner.

Our fourth finalist is Karen Stock from Shoeburyness in Essex.

After starting the extended schools team at a local high school eight years ago, she now runs a jobs club, a debating group and helps the local food bank.
