Ipswich Town have moved to within touching distance of the Championship play-off positions, after a 3-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Portman Road.

Goals from Luke Hyam, Carlos Edwards and a late-strike from Frank Nouble sealed a second successive win for Town who are now just two points off the top six.

Not even a goal on his return to the club from Jordan Rhodes could sour the evening as the Tractor Boys recorded their first home win since September.

Mick McCarthy's men will be hoping to continue their impressive form on Saturday, when they host Huddersfield Town.
