A report has found opportunities were missed to save the life of a baby girl from Northampton, who was killed by her father after he returned home injured from Afghanistan. Liam Culverhouse was convicted after admitting killing his daughter.

Child death review finds 'failures'

A damning report says the death of a 19 month old girl could and should have been prevented.

Little Khloe Abrams from Northampton was killed by her father, Liam Culverhouse, after he returned home injured from Afghanistan.

He admitted killing his daughter and is currently serving six years in prison.

Today (Wednesday 26 February) a serious case review into her death found there were missed chances to save little Khloe and she was failed by health professionals who could have protected her.

Soldier jailed for six years for killing his daughter

A soldier from Northampton who killed his 20-month-old daughter after surviving being shot in Afghanistan has been jailed for six years.

Lance Corporal Liam Culverhouse had admitted causing the death of Khloe Abrams. The Grenadier Guardsman was medically discharged from the Army after losing his right eye in an attack that killed five of his comrades.

Former soldier who caused the death of his daughter is due to be sentenced today

A former soldier from Northampton who caused the death of his 19-month-old daughter, is due to be sentenced today.

Liam Culverhouse, who is 25 and from Kingsthorpe, admitted injuring Khloe Adams, who died in 2012.

Culverhouse lost his eye in a shooting in Afghanistan in 2009. He has been told to expect a 'significant custodial sentence'.
