Norwich and Stowmarket in Suffolk are separated by just 37 miles, but they have been at the centre of a titantic tussle for world glory.
Defending World Indoor Bowls Champion Rebecca Field from Norfolk was battling with Suffolk student Katherine Rednall over the 2014 title at Hopton near Great Yarmouth.
With a world title at stake the regional rivalry between the two counties had been at an all-time high but it was Suffolk that triumphed creating the world's youngest indoor bowls champion.
Katherine Rednall will be back at school in Stowmarket just a day after her classmates celebrated her victory.

Suffolk's Katherine Rednall has become the youngest World Indoor Bowls Champion at the age of 18.
Katherine's classmates were watching the final at Stowmarket High School as she beat Norfolk's Rebecca Field.
When Field won the title last year she was also the youngest ever winner at the age of 22.
The World Indoor Bowls Championships are held each year at the Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.
