The Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Police has apologised for the distress caused to an autistic man in Luton, whose family say was assaulted by police officers outside his own home.
Colette Paul's first words fell short of admitting any responsibility, because an investigation into what actually happened is still in progress. But she says she is listening to the family and the community.
