Former Ipswich Town goalkeeper Scott Loach has wasted no time in finding a new club after sealing a switch to newly-promoted Championship side Rotherham United.

The 26-year-old left Town by mutual consent earlier this afternoon.

Loach has signed a two-year deal in South Yorkshire.

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Scott Loach has left the club by mutual consent.

The former Watford man has hardly featured since joining in 2012.

Loach, who is a boyhood Ipswich fan, is now free to join another club.

“My time at the club is over but I just want to thank everyone for making me feel welcome here,” Loach told the club's official website.

“I’ve always had a great reception from the fans and I think the club is a credit to itself. The people at the club and the fans who support Ipswich all deserve a big future and I hope they get just that.”
