Cambridge United have moved to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to League Two with the signing of Wrexham utility man Johnny Hunt.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the U's after the two clubs agreed a compensation fee.
Hunt, who can play in defence and midfield, scored 12 goals in the Conference last season.
"We are really pleased to have been able to agree compensation with Wrexham and complete this signing," Director of Football, Jez George, said.
"Johnny is a very good footballer. He's a versatile, left footed player, with bags of energy and ability, who will add real competition in three positions.
"We have signed one of the best young players in the Conference and we look forward to him developing further through the philosophy and coaching environment that underpins our football operation."
