Body found in Sudbury - death no longer being treated as suspicious

Following a post mortem examination on the body of a man found at an address in Sudbury, police are no longer treating his death as suspicious.

Police were called by the ambulance service to a flat in Lucas Road, Sudbury at approximately 10.30am Monday 14 July to a report that a man had been found dead inside.

A post mortem examination has been carried out, but further tests are needed before the cause of death can be established.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner and an inquest will be opened in due course.


Body found in Sudbury believed to be a man in his 40s

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Sudbury. Police were called to a flat in Lucas Road, Sudbury this morning to reports that a man had been found deceased inside.

The man’s death is being treated as suspicious at this time and a post mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow. Although formal identification of the man has not yet taken place, he is believed to be aged in his 40s.
