A fire has gutted a Grade II-listed country mansion dating back to the 18th Century, leaving little more than a stone skeleton.
The blaze broke out at Cosgrove Hall, near Milton Keynes, on Friday afternoon, quickly spreading through the building.
Crews from Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire fire services managed to beat back the flames by early evening, but the mansion could not be saved and the privately-owned property was gutted.
There were no reports of any injuries, and investigations into the cause of the blaze are ongoing.
