As a player, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was a goalscoring superstar for the likes of Chelsea, Leeds United and Middlesbrough.
Later, he became a sought-after manager following his exploits with one of the league's smaller clubs, Burton Albion.
Today, the Dutchman is the third boss to be taken on by the Cobblers since their promotion two seasons ago
Northampton Town will officially unveil Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink as their new manager at Sixfields later.
The former Chelsea striker was appointed on a three-year contract on Monday.
He replaces Justin Edinburgh who was sacked last week.
Hasselbaink's first game will be against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
The Cobblers are currently bottom of League One and have yet to pick up a point so far this season.
