If you went to bed early last night you may have missed the announcement of a new striker at Peterborough United.

The League One club have signed striker Omar Bogle on loan from Cardiff City until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals in 12 appearances since joining the Championship side in August from Wigan.

Manager Grant McCann said: “It is a great signing for this football club. I am delighted He is coming here to play and help us with our quest to get promoted.

“Enormous credit must go to the chairman, Barry and Liz for getting this deal over the line. They have worked extremely hard in making sure we got it over the line.”

League Two Colchester United have signed winger Olamide Shodipo on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

Olamide came through the ranks at Loftus Road and made his senior debut last season, in their 3-0 win over Leeds.

The 20-year-old has also featured for Republic of Ireland's U19s and U21s.

Olamide could feature in the U's squad for the weekend game against Newport County.

Colchester have also signed Doncaster Rovers striker Liam Mandeville and Wolves midfielder Ben Stevenson on loan deals until the end of the season.

Stevenson, 20, joined Wolves from Coventry City earlier in the day.

The U's have managed to complete a permanent deal too, with Charlton Athletic defender Aaron Barnes agreeing to move to Essex.

Meanwhile, defender Lewis Kinsella had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Transfer Deadline Day: Norwich City youngster makes Rangers switch

Norwich City Under-23s winger Glenn Middleton has sealed a deadline day switch to Rangers.

The 18-year-old, who had wanted first team football, will again link up with Graeme Murty who coached him during his time with the Canaries.

While no details of a fee have been released, Norwich City say there is a sell-on clause 'related to his further development'.

Middleton failed to make a senior appearance while with City but was named among the substitutes for the FA Cup third round replay at Southampton during the 2016-17 campaign.

Glenn expressed a desire to play first team football. This hasn't been easy for us to sort as there is strong competition in his position within the first team.

Now, this opportunity has come up for him to go to Rangers. He’s a Scottish lad and it’s a great chance for him to go home and play some first team football. It’s in his best interests to go and play up there.
