Extra patrols along A12

Essex police has started extra patrols along the A12 today in an attempt to prevent people throwing objects from bridges on to passing vehicles.

The force has stepped up its patrols because in previous years there's been an increase in incidents between November and January.

Two serious incidents which happened last December are being investigated as attempted murder, but no arrests have been made.
