A multi-million pound extension to the Rosie Maternity unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge has been completed. Today staff were given the chance to look round the new state-of-the art unit - which is due to open in September.
The family of an 87-year-old man treated at Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge says he was pressured to leave the ward despite being too unwell to go. Ken Nolan's wife and daughter say he was persuaded to move into a care home against his wishes.

A cash machine has been stolen from Addenbrooke's Hospital by ram raiders. Four men wearing white suits and balaclavas drove a stolen 4x4 into the front entrance of the treatment centre late on Friday night. The men made off with the cash machine in a green BMW.
